Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Shameik Moore developed a love for music at an early age. His passion instilled in him the desire to express himself through song and dance.

Shameik first made a name for himself by winning freestyle dance battles and uploading videos of himself singing and dancing on YouTube.

After receiving positive feedback from a commercial on Cartoon Network, opportunities naturally opened up in acting.

Shameik made his TV debut with a guest appearance on Tyler Perry's series House of Pain.

Shameik played his first starring role as Malcolm in the coming-of-age story, DOPE, produced by Forest Whitaker's Significant Productions. The film stars Shameik as a cool nerd in a tough Los Angeles neighborhood. DOPE premiered at Sundance, where Shameik was named one of "The 12 Major Breakouts of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival." His musical talents afforded him the opportunity to work with Pharrell Williams on the film’s soundtrack.

In 2016 & 2017, Shameik starred in part one & 2 of Baz Luhrmann's Netflix series "The Get Down" as Shaolin Fantastic.

Currently, Shameik is working on his new mixtape and his starring role as Miles Morales in Sony's animated motion picture Spider-Man.
